Our products for your house, outerwear, body care, and your daily carry-ons are manufactured with authentic methods and using substantial materials.This includes sturdy leather, natural wool and hearty linen, solid steel, reclaimed wood, and polished glass. We finish with traditional, natural treatments, surfaces are developed to evolve over time.

How we curate. We believe the things around us should do well so that they can become mainstays throughout our lives. The word EcHT describes our approach. EcHT is the German adjective that means authentic (crafting), substantial (materials), true (surfaces), a genuine approach: sincere and honest; certified. Right - all of our criteria in one word. Find items that were made with careful consideration of materials, their sources, methods, utility, function and form; with surfaces that will evolve - so they can age beautifully. Pittsburgh´s Mount Oliver Borough is by some as a harsh environment. And it is home of EcHT in Pittsburgh, PA. This working class Borough, build on a hill above the old steel mills, has seen better times but it is coming back. The EcHT craftsmen are shaped here. We choose a tough environment, driven to master its mysteries and to crafting in an intense approach with reality, towards perfecting the development and fabrication of goods. We choose to help revitalizing an old American main street, to bring production and living back into the inner city. This spirit inspires us to constantly challenge the conventions of working and crafting.
